I think the last journal I posted about all this was getting a little cluttered. And it's a bit obsolete, since the purpose of that journal was to spread the word about dA's impending doom, and now that doom is out for all the users to see.
So, everyone. How do we get rid of the new submit page(or at least make it permanently optional)?

Going directly to the admins won't help. They'll ignore you, no matter how many messages you send them, and if they're feeling particularly vindictive they might just block or ban you.

Telling the help desk about all this is likely to be met with the same degree of indifference. Only once have I seen a positive outcome for any member about the submit page, and even then they were given no indication of what bugs were being fixed(if any). But they did receive a free renewal of their premium membership, as they couldn't upload any art and therefore their money was being wasted.

I obviously have no definitive answers as to what might make the admins give up, if anything. All we can do is keep at it, not let them forget that we're there and we want the old page back.

So, what can each one of us do? What could individuals like us possibly do to change what's happening to this site?


Keep posting on the feedback page, make it very clear that we will not tolerate this kind of behaviour from the staff. Being forced into a faulty process and not allowed out is completely unacceptable, and it's our job to remind them of that fact every day.

Join , a group for anyone who hates the new page.

Post this [link] image in your gallery(if you can get the page to work for it), and don't post anything else.

We need 100,000 signatures on that thing, so don't be afraid to spread that link around to anyone who you think will support us.


Don't give up, no matter how bleak things look. After all, there are only so many possible outcomes from this.

The admins could finally admit defeat, and change back to the old page, maybe making small improvements one at a time until it actually is faster, easier and more intuitive.

The page could actually be fixed(and maybe even changed back to green), and we could all finally get on with our dA experiences.

Or the page could remain in its broken state, driving away users until the dA population is so severely depleted that the staff have to turn to obvious and desperate measures for gaining revenue, making the remaining members leave as well.


We'll just have to do what we can, and see what happens.
